MEDZ : New Saint Gobain Group investment in the Atlantic Free Zone of Kenitra

On July 6, 2015, Saint-Gobain Sekurit (subsidiary of the Saint-Gobain Group, a leader in the business of innovative materials for sustainable development) acquired an area of 23,000m² in the Atlantic Free Zone, equipped by MEDZ, for the purpose of extending its factory specializing in the production of windows for motor vehicles.

This investment, worth nearly €7 million, is thus added to the initial investment of €15 million for the completion of the manufacturing unit of 25,000m², in operation since December 2012.

Saint-Gobain is the first supplier to settle in Atlantic Free Zone. This choice was motivated by the quality of the infrastructure in place, the labor pool and positioning of the industrial park close to other sectors of the industry, including automotive equipment, as well as many other advantages offered by the region and the project:

  • Tax incentives of the AFZ;
  • Administrative facilities and one-stop address (administration, management structure, customs, etc.);
  • Support for construction financing;
  • Specialist training centre (IFMIA);
  • Facilities for companies and individuals;
  • Strategic location;
  • Transport-related benefits;
  • Competitive workforce.

The extension of the Saint-Gobain plant in the Atlantic Free Zone demonstrates the confidence that the Group places in MEDZ and institutional partners of the project, just like other industries that have settled there and have experienced the same dynamic development.
