CDG : Appointment of Mr. Abdellatif Zaghnoun as CEO of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion

The Council of Ministers, meeting on January 29, 2015 in Fez under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, appointed Mr. Abdellatif Zaghnoun to the position of CEO of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion.

On graduation from the Mohammedia Engineering School in 1982, Mr. Zaghnoun began his professional career at Office Chérifien des Phosphates (OCP Group), where he served in several executive positions, including Director of the Mines Division and member of the Executive Committee of the OCP Group. In July 2004, he was appointed Managing Director of the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration. In parallel, Mr. Zaghnoun was elected in 2007 Vice-President of the World Customs Organization (WCO), President of the Organization for the MENA region, and in 2008 he was also elected Chairman of the Audit Committee of the WCO.
In 2010, Mr. Zaghnoun was appointed Managing Director of the Directorate General of Inland Revenue.

Following the audience granted by the Sovereign after his appointment, Mr. Zaghnoun said he was honored by the trust that His Majesty King Mohammed VI invested in him: "I had the honor of being received by His Majesty the King and being appointed by the Sovereign as the head of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion. I received the instructions and guidance of His Majesty the King, may God assist him, so this establishment may continue its work of contributing to the economic and social development of the Kingdom."
