The CDG Group announces a new 2022 strategic plan

CDG Group is setting up a new 2022 Strategic Plan based on the development of its methods of intervention.

The Group will now intervene more often as ‘expert’, ‘co-financer’ and ‘investor’ rather than as ‘operator’, hitherto used by the Group where CDG Group controls all the links in the value chain of a project (design, land acquisition, layout, development, marketing, management, etc.).

  • Expert
  • Co-financier
  • Investor

By developing its methods of intervention CDG Group will consolidate its economic model so as to provide the best response to the challenges facing the country, in particular those concerning its pattern of growth, expanded regionalization, energy transition and sustainable development.

For so CDG Group’s new 2022 strategy will be built upon the following five pillars:

  • Savings pension plans
  • Tourism
  • Territorial development
  • Co-financier
  • Investor

These five pillars will:

  • Consolidate CDG Group’s character as a trusted third party with its depositors;
  • Concentrate its intervention in the field of tourist resorts such as “Saïdia” and “Taghazout” tourist resorts;
  • Develop its method of intervention in industrial parks and urban planning from overall contractor towards supplying expertise on behalf of the State and regional authorities in the form of MOD or management (Expert mode).

It will also contribute to the financing of the SME’s and regional authorities in partnership with the banking sector (Co-financer mode) and boost the dynamic of investment in new areas that are essential to the diversification of the growth pattern of the country, such as industry, agro-business, new information technologies and renewable energy, through targeted minority investment (Investor mode).

The 5 pillars of CDG Group’s 2022 Strategic Plan will be implemented through a structured organization built around 4 groups of professions:

  • Management of savings/Pension plans
  • Territorial development
  • Tourism
  • Banking/Finance/Investment

This organization is designed to simplify and clarify the steering process and optimize the number of the consolidated bodies.
